Graduate Student
Hometown: Bel Air, MD Education: B.S. in Biochemistry and Toxicology / Penn State University
I am a graduate student in the Pharmacology and Toxicology Graduate Group here at Davis. Before starting graduate school, I spent a few years working as a lab technician for the Department of Defense where my research interests focused on identifying countermeasures against acute organophosphate (OP) nerve agent poisoning. This made my transition onto the CounterACT project in the Lein lab seem like the natural progression. My thesis research focuses on identifying the role of synaptic remodeling in the brain in the development of chronic epilepsy following acute exposure to OPs.
When I am not in the lab I enjoy rock climbing, spending time with my friends, going to concerts and exploring sunny California.
